Services

  • ONE ON ONE THERAPY

My passion is helping people deeply understand themselves and to process their emotions within the context of their culture, gender, society, family of origin, current relationships, and biology.

I will work to help you find new self-understanding while offering concrete coping skills so you can make positive changes in your life.

  • COUPLES THERAPY

Couples often have essentially the same fights over and over with little resolution or change. Whether about chores, money, parenting, or any number of other things, the real underlying issues are often the same, and the dynamic that has been set in motion has taken on a life of its own.

Together, we can dig to the roots of your problems, identify problematic triggers and behaviors and work on ways to change them, to rediscover your friendship and work toward getting back to a relationship of security and love.

  • BEYOND TALK THERAPY

    •EMDR
In utilizing EMDR, my aim is to assist clients in diminishing the strength of emotional triggers and restructuring traumatic memories. The ultimate goal is to leave people with an enhanced sense of emotional well-being through the reprocessing of these challenging experiences.

    Hypnotherapy
I have found that for many people, hypnosis can put an exclamation point on traditional talk therapy. Once you have the insights, hypnosis can help them sink in on a deeper level.

Please note: I only offer hypnosis to my regular therapy clients to support our therapy work together.

Sliding Scale
It depends on a number of factors. If people are on insurance that reimburses, I don’t slide. That being said, I have designed my practice so that I can offer a number of sliding scale slots to people who really need it.

Insurance
While I am not on any insurance panels, I do provide clients with superbills. Clients can then submit the superbill to their insurance company for possible reimbursement. If you want to know how much your insurance company will reimburse for sessions, call and ask them “What is your reimbursement rate for out-of-network mental health providers?” Be sure to find out if this reimbursement only applies after you reach your deductible.

Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotheraxpy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
